Women interested in the super fun sport of table tennis. |
| Why: |
Everyone loves ping pong in their own way. Some like the cooperation,
some like the competition. Many women who love to play ping pong prefer cooperation over competition. We have former national team members and Chinese professional players in our community who do not want to play any more matches, but love to play. And we have absolute beginners, and everyone in between. It is all about social interaction and mutual support: you can't play without a partner, and you can't play well without your partner playing well. We are creating a space for women to play: a class structured as group practice. It offers a high-quality technical program where you will play with different partners, hopefully at more or less your level, and get feedback on how to improve. It is all about playing and improving, rather than competing and dominating. Our weekly program aims to support a community which attracts women back over the long term as much for their ping pong friends as for the game itself. So we invite you to join us at the GLTTC Women's Class on Saturdays at 7pm. Please come as you are, bring a friend if you like, and help us make our club welcoming and sustaining to a new community of active, ping pong playing women. | What: |
Skills development through group coaching and supervised practice & drills. Effective strokes, serve and return of serve, footwork, tactics, and equipment. Quality practice time.
