Site Preparation and Clearing

Scope:

1.	Provide all labor, material, hand tools, equipment (including safety equipment), supervision, supplies, and other incidentals necessary to install the site preparation and clearing work and perform all such work in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, addenda, and other documents that make up the contract documents but not limited to the following:
a.	Install tree protection prior to any clearing.
b.	Strip site of all ground vegetation as directed by project superintendent.
c.	Remove topsoil to the specified depths and stockpile on site in an area designated by the project superintendent for future use. 
d.	Remove all brush, vegetation, and trees within the construction limits.
e.	Remove all stumps and root systems.
f.	Burn brush, vegetation, and tree debris on site in an area as directed by the project superintendent and according to local fire department requirements. Attain required permits.
g.	Rake all stripped and scarified areas prior to grading.
h.	Remove any unburned material from construction site.
2.	Save all trees and brush, except those designated.
3.	Take special care not to damage any trees designated to be saved by the project superintendent. 
4.	Provide temporary service and access roads as required for site clearing, grading, and storm drainage.

Optional Scope Items:

5.	Provide any surveying necessary to bring the site to the specified grades.
6.	Protect the benchmarks and property lines set by the builder.
7.	Provide the demolition of all obstructions as shown and remove them from the site.

Exclusions:

None
