Site Landscape Scope: 1. Provide all labor, material, hand tools, equipment (including safety equipment), supervision, supplies, and other incidentals necessary to install the landscaping work and all such work in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, addenda, and other documents that make up the contract documents but not limited to the following: a. Sodding, seeding, and hydro-seeding b. Plants, shrubs, and landscape materials c. Trees d. Ground cover e. Edging f. Decorative stones g. Railroad ties h. Topsoil i. Fertilizer j. Bark, chips, and mulching k. Erosion control 2. Hand grade and adjust grade for the thickness of the sod so that the sod becomes the final grade as indicated on the drawings. The sod shall come up to the elevation of adjoining sidewalks unless the sidewalk blocks the planned flow of water. In such cases, notify the project superintendent. 3. Prepare site for planting materials. 4. Rake and remove all debris, rocks, and foreign matter before laying any sod or seed. 5. Adjust the finish grade contours of the site to allow proper runoff of water. 6. Allow a minimum of 6 inches from floor slab to final grade. 7. Roll sod within 24 hours after initial laying to achieve a smooth sod blanket. 8. Ensure that sod is free from foreign material and weeds. 9. Lay sod neat and tight. 10. Provide final grade and swells to carry water away from buildings. If any obstruction prevents the proper grading of the site, immediately notify the project superintendent. Optional Scope Items: 11. Water sod prior to rolling as needed. The work is the responsibility of trade contractor until homeowner's acceptance is received. 12. Install irrigation system to include: a. Connection to water supply b. Pipe, heads, valves, and time clock c. Final electrical hookup d. Excavation and backfill for irrigation system e. Sleeves under flatwork Exclusions: 1. Backfill 2.
