Finishes-Drywall Scope: 1. Provide all labor, material, hand tools, equipment (including safety equipment), supervision, supplies, and other incidentals necessary to install the drywall work and perform all such work in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, addenda, and other documents that make up the contract documents but not limited to the following: a. Hanging all drywall (gypsum board/sheetrock) including all walls, ceilings, and soffits b. Finishing all drywall including taping, mudding, skimming, sanding, and texturing c. Nails, screws, fasteners, and accessories needed for a complete job d. Cementitious backer board in all locations specifying ceramic tile e. Knockdown, popcorn, stipple, orange peel, or other similar texture in areas as directed by project superintendent 2. Install and finish all work according to the specifications, procedures, and practices prescribed by the manufacturer(s). 3. Coordinate with local building officials and fire marshal to ensure all work is in compliance with local codes including penetrations, dryer vents, attic separation, draftstops, smokestops, and protected (fire-rated) walls and floors. 4. Remove all scrap resulting from the work from jobsite within 24 hours after applying texture. 5. Walk job with project superintendent and framing trade contractor to assure work is ready to start. 6. Do not cover up inferior or defective work. 7. Inspect the work with the project superintendent and painting contractor to identify and correct all defective work prior to applying any texture. 8. Clean up and dispose of all trash, debris, and necessary incidentals from jobsite. 9. Clean mud, tape compound, and textures off floors. 10. Protect tubs from damage as instructed by project superintendent by installing a piece of drywall, protective coating, or liner in each tub prior to working in bath areas. Optional Scope Items: 11. Install water resistant gypsum board (MR) in all locations specifying ceramic tile. 12. Provide and install marble window sills. (This item may be included with ceramic tile.) 13. Provide and install thermal and acoustic batt insulation. Exclusions: 1. Exterior wall sheathing with drywall (gypsum board/sheetrock) applied to exterior walls, ceilings, and soffits as outlined on the drawings (This item may be included with Framing-Rough Carpentry.) 2. Light-gauge metal framing (This item may be included with Framing-Light-Gauge Metal or Finishes-Drywall.) 3. Wood blocking (This item may be included with Framing-Rough Carpentry.)
